Maldives with Parker NY

The number one question people ask me is always something along the lines of ‘Aggie – if you were to choose – where is your favorite place in the world?’ to which I reply there is no one place where I love more than others, BUT I guess if they asked ‘Aggie, I want to go somewhere unforgettable for my holidays and I want to know where in the world you are confident I would enjoy?’ – my answer would be easy – Maldives.

I think it would be really hard for someone to have a bad time in Maldives – it truly is a paradise on earth. Together with Parker NY, I want to share with you my favorite pieces I got to bring on my recent trip to Six Senses Laamu (probably my favorite resort in the Maldives and the world!). I absolutely loved the emphasis Six Senses put on connecting with nature and sustainability. I stayed at their water villa with a pool and can’t recommend it enough! Anything from an outdoor shower, to the custom made playlist at my villa have created a very rounded six sense expirience. Oh – even the toilet had a glass floor haha!

The first outfit I want to show it is the Natalie dress I wore on several occasions whenever I wanted to dress up a little and get out of a bikini. Lunch date in this beautiful flow dress than blended in with all the ocean blues was perfect.

The Tropez cover up was perfect when I was feeling lazy and wanted to wear something super uber comfortable but still look cute. It was usually my go to to walk around the beaches – I also got to wear it on a snorkelling trip we did to see manta rays.

Laureena Blouse was my go to to wear around my villa. Absolutely love the embroidery and detail on it, as well as how nice and soft it felt against my slightly sun burnt skin.

Here is a little questionnaire for the #EscapewithParker campaiagn:
First thing I did when I got there: pinched myself to check if I’m not dreaming – then canonballed right into the turquoise water in front of my villa
Style vibe for this trip: snuggled by the sun ☀️
Key pieces I’ve packed: bikinis, bikinis and wrap arounds and kimonos, loose linen tops and plenty of hats
I never travel without… my own pillow! I know it makes me sound super spoilt but hotel pillows are often too hard for me and make my neck hurt – I often don’t get too much sleep when traveling so at least I make sure it’s quality rest!
Beauty tips for traveling? Sleep! exercise or just dance around your room as soon as you get to your hotel room from a long haul flight to fight off the jetlag.
Favorite memory: sailing to a remote island near our resort and enjoying the ultimate privacy ?
Favorite souvenir: a name tag from my bike I rode around the island!
Best thing I learned on this trip: ocean will heal everything 🙂
My getaway hashtag for this trip: #sandyfeet #saltyhair
Restaurant/food you have to eat: Go to Sip Sip bar to watch sunset from a hammock in the water, don’t miss out on daily outdoor cinema and free unlimited ice cream parlour! Also – room service! Nothing will make you feel more spoilt than eating dinner on the front porch of your water bungalow!
What you have to see: manta rays and whale sharks! Maldives shave the biggest population of manta rays in the world and snorkeling next to these giant beauties had to be one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life.

  1. Aggie, I guess I just borrowed one of your tips and will start taking my own pillow everywhere I go. As you said, it is a small price that you pay for your beauty sleep.
